# V! ~1 M8 @) KTerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
* ~8 k9 C# T: v9 e* e+ u' X-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
2 `' E. H  O8 |* c3 b-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
- A( x6 U% U! p. w-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
" k% }% _7 V. I! N% a& M: p* n-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
$ _! b! K; O) Q- D( ?-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
3 g2 g. G) u; j: k! L6 N-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
! A2 a) y0 @4 P  [-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health

-        Some evening and weekend work may be required

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
