- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth0 B: K! r: f1 H$ _
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
. ?/ r8 V, _ S+ a$ m- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups, s b- X, Z' h% z
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
8 i+ t+ G7 Y/ I# Z4 B; h; j1 Y- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:& b$ z* m- r) y' Y4 |
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences; o8 n; U0 `! o" [
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
$ j! h5 a* B' W; Q! H& t+ l- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
' j- |& e% j! u I' [- H2 p5 k/ `- Experience doing program development- h% e0 N3 g5 B6 u) \5 q* b# u" O
- Strong organizational and coordination skills# n5 L0 ]9 o+ R7 d
- Self-directed and able to take initiative; u' j4 R8 J8 m+ f
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset+ `+ J, b" J8 A' |
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
