  l6 p  T+ C: D" c4 ETerms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
+ F# X- }0 u! k9 D4 H# Z  s2 Z-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
7 l: t1 I5 V4 @# E) y( J1 L-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
- h  u% m- E  g1 I7 `-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
9 ]% M- b# i8 q, ]+ v+ K  _-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

2 L7 U- n* @* x! bKey Qualifications:
$ A% g; _: ?5 q+ q-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
( F$ z* ^  Z* G" `, N-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
7 I% x! e3 Y7 S! d* u* U-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
  t/ M. W+ h' }3 t  \" J-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
/ {( i' l. m# g+ V: g. d-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
& f5 ?3 x6 L! }8 w-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
