Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

Responsibilities:
6 d9 U) C, |& S: I, Q: e' r" N# L- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth! M; Q- q6 G7 |/ ?. D3 P1 g E
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling2 `% {4 W9 }9 j. b9 t0 U" p0 V* `1 i
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
7 e% z6 Q @7 E0 t# ~" G2 v) N* ?- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
# X, h3 J/ ^4 {% F/ K* o" X- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
) H, t6 ^! E: N3 D/ J: m8 T2 K- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences7 ~* B5 N! p. K7 z' d
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
( R) T5 v2 M. s* L/ @; z- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others6 R/ \0 z2 ^6 z' w+ ]
- Experience doing program development1 `) W9 R. o! |- {5 ]
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
m, @- ]2 O8 i. y" f- Self-directed and able to take initiative# K; |5 o8 a! W- l! W6 V( o
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset5 o6 F5 Z) P& p; a
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license" j( A1 y' N: N3 v& C" i

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
8 K: x! V. E0 b; y* b2 \- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

- Skills in marketing & promotions4 m/ ` E8 R. H! ]& P
