Responsibilities:
& z" j& N7 S7 ~0 w5 k9 y- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth3 [; x+ J4 X" S _1 |) _) y3 Y
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling* \5 Y2 z J4 ?1 ]. V J6 c
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups9 `- y7 P8 q( S- p
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs& s+ g: {- H, S. D R/ \" ?
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health9 ]+ m1 @" T. S3 d* e; B& a8 [
! n' r0 o8 E1 m/ L

Key Qualifications:
+ k2 H9 c8 Y( |! R- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
9 f5 k& U5 }" x% w8 A- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement2 S# J* \$ k O9 W
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others6 H! w/ k6 k$ f
- Experience doing program development
3 O2 N& U. A) D- Strong organizational and coordination skills" r5 [3 T' w% A) D& b; L* d
- Self-directed and able to take initiative% U1 c; K# m6 l1 j
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
E+ d% D2 V. [' `0 K- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license8 d( R# O, h( c6 L3 V+ O
" ?) W: V: v9 R3 [' y: C0 U4 v8 p8 y( Q, X" r
Assets:
" Y' s" \& N5 g+ t$ S- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation9 x4 \) q+ B0 }- x; L; D
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

- Skills in marketing & promotions
