# u4 C$ b- r' {" i% o2 l

9 l, b/ N6 n7 }* \$ k4 X; n. q
1 T5 N0 R/ X# g. J1 n0 l+ |" pM: I think I just bombed my history test. I don't think I'm going to pass./ I9 `( X/ y+ V0 x  _6 {

8 [0 ?7 Q& g  _$ d. K; s" n
; ^4 d- g4 l6 O: w2 M  ^6 ?7 ?
M: No, I said I bombed my test, that means I did very poorly, and probably will get a very low mark.
/ h+ U( N3 |4 m, C* L  `1 ~1 G4 y" L2 f, P: t2 j- R

/ k, `6 z* E- ?! d. yM: Well, sometimes we might say a movie or a play "bombed". That means that no one wanted to see it, and it probably lost a lot of money.
/ y+ J! d) g0 m5 f( \+ b3 N! a9 y; J, ~. N7 m9 Y
The movie I saw last week bombed"?9 o7 d) _/ `' O+ X' ?
* e' }1 Q& c* g( S( D
M: Sounds like it bombed to me. Remember the play we went to a few weeks ago? The actors were terrible!
. _. i) Q5 h0 V- ]: t4 o& m8 E0 s% d, m% V
That play really bombed!
* ?/ ?5 I% t% s; p# J( J# O  M/ j8 |
M: Absolutely! Hey listen, Li Hua, can we please change the subject? I don't want to think about failure right now. What would you like to eat? It's my treat.

, `% F3 A8 P9 o' p1 Q- w- O
M: Please! Don't mention tests!

O0 X5 y) T6 M2 m

0 D0 Z4 w5 I! Z0 eM: I told them not to put onions on my burger, but they forgot. Therefore I said that they "messed up my order". I can also just say "they messed up."2 o( c, o3 V$ o, F/ T

) G* f1 N* _9 S0 E' R& ^, E* w! 所以,to mess up就是做错了事,对吗?( p5 ?, \+ V7 ^3 ^* b; o# c, r) s6 d2 P% g

9 O: U9 N& t) E, M3 o* d6 jL: 噢,to mess up something还可以指把什么东西弄坏了。 She messed up my bike"?$ Y# L  X9 O$ A8 N# z) W; X' x

试试 screw up 或者 f**k up。

You screwed it up。
screw ? up ? 如果他们对我说,You messed it up,我大概不会这么郁闷。
