Position Title: Outreach Worker
( z% u" y- Q9 G1 c$ mHours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

+ t+ i  `! u" w7 _Job Description
-        promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
/ @; u2 C" ~$ R& N-        promote Centre and ISP programs  in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
' b1 H9 {7 E8 V/ O- [-        develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
-        recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-        promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-        outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
" [" k0 H+ l$ a% K-        attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-        adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-        report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-        recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-        assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

5 t& W4 J0 p# rQualifications
3 ~7 _/ X! p, }-        degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-        knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
7 {) x4 Y) Y! c6 }9 T-        good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-        fluent in English and Chinese

: k; y, t: T' E+ _. A; _% G-        valid driver’s license
