A baby food recall is underway as a popular Heinz baby cereal may contain elevated levels of a mycotoxin.' [8 P' D6 N6 w) D
6 {8 \0 N! Z% vThe Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Heinz Canada are warning parents about ‘Heinz Mixed Cereal, Stage 2, From 6 Months’. The best before date codes located on the top left hand corner of the package are ‘BB/MA 10 DE 26’ and ‘BB/MA 10 DE 29’.( I1 m6 F4 }& D' A0 d/ C. o
No illnesses have been reported from consuming the cereal. Heinz Canada says that the cereal may contain elevated levels of Ochratoxin A (OTA).

+ \3 r# C; l. T+ aIn a news release, CFIA says Ochratoxin A is a mycotoxin produced by fungi that can grow in food such as grains, grapes and coffee beans and has been classified by as a possible human carcinogen.
