A baby food recall is underway as a popular Heinz baby cereal may contain elevated levels of a mycotoxin.: Q H7 m, `; d; _' T2 O9 p! @4 K" @
" b7 _3 J8 n% H% \9 cThe Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Heinz Canada are warning parents about ‘Heinz Mixed Cereal, Stage 2, From 6 Months’. The best before date codes located on the top left hand corner of the package are ‘BB/MA 10 DE 26’ and ‘BB/MA 10 DE 29’.6 r: ]% v5 o1 G+ y
No illnesses have been reported from consuming the cereal. Heinz Canada says that the cereal may contain elevated levels of Ochratoxin A (OTA).

8 X4 f' C9 u' d" MIn a news release, CFIA says Ochratoxin A is a mycotoxin produced by fungi that can grow in food such as grains, grapes and coffee beans and has been classified by as a possible human carcinogen.
