Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
) X. i; K6 C7 A -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
0 L% q6 {; X: {/ j-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
: t+ Q# ~  v5 L8 G- P6 ?7 {-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
& h: q" N7 D& n-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
" G  o0 U! l. H5 x - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
) Z! E; r3 [) ?- C-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
' j) q, X. B5 f- y% {! G- G+ ]-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
$ a$ s7 ^7 s: a9 u-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;

4 \5 \/ \' @  p  q; X-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
