) i' n1 n( t" M2 t# A The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

7 l% P" H' p; s* w0 C# e$ Z& n -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
0 d! `4 [' b( `$ j, I-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
3 w5 z" I0 K: E6 h-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
+ v0 a: n* `5 d  ^, A# N8 j; A8 N-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
3 X* w3 h9 J/ }, Q6 y8 y: ]  Q-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
. Y& U* l: f& i  i& D-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
; _9 v2 g0 ]# V' a. f2 V-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
