1 I. W4 U0 ^, N/ T5 R" e! u+ oTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
. J7 W& N' \) DThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
8 @4 b1 J; ]1 Q•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
- q& P2 v' A% g( k•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
9 x2 X" L7 c# I3 l5 ]0 G•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
$ I, e- t) B' s* v/ \* D3 P" k: W•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
# K5 k# K( W' |& c% G- b2 ~•Be eligible to work in Canada
+ U9 y  d* Z2 V•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
6 k8 @9 ^3 e* K) M. iTime Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
