THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
& t' @% m( k; c0 v8 k24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
) }) }+ e4 d- N5 V8 ^" fAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
: Q& W# z6 x& A1 `) D•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
7 P0 ^$ S: X. k6 R" y•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
& c- [+ [4 Z9 r$ o•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
- n3 F/ ^, M0 @9 W, a) j4 z/ z•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
  }' K. ?5 n4 R4 Z! M: _•Be eligible to work in Canada
& f( E4 q6 C6 ^3 C9 U1 o•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

, i# j5 P8 [: l5 zThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
