This program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
Programs run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

Entrance Criteria
* l" t7 P! Q% TYou must be/have:
• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
4 a( l3 E6 x6 i- z• Unemployed or underemployed
• Minimum 18 years of age
# T# u/ R5 u$ z! K3 b• Good moral character
6 W' Y" A& k; W5 @$ {& q  @• Good health and physical condition
/ y- d* c) O% X9 z" y• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
. q$ V: e2 ~9 v' @& S% c* \% I• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
, R) F0 h5 c6 n9 t0 n6 f• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
• Citizenship documents: Permanent Resident Card or recent Canadian
