/ t l. e) L4 T% z& S3 Y. wCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

1 B2 ~7 E" l: Y+ w9 d• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.1 t7 j6 E. P* P. K

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

0 y" |. Z: r t; n/ @• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events. Q" j! t$ i# j; U! Y# U

& d, l( [( S/ w7 X) fSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
