WCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.6 u; H' @4 I6 M

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs./ w4 t7 A' \% u! e

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.7 p$ }4 W2 D6 g; o' q

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.1 C6 L+ x& q$ u

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

6 X: k) w, T7 y8 c• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.' q" Y2 G; H9 w0 e$ ]+ z

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.6 [# k" S- z6 f1 W6 `

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.6 l; M0 H+ b. h& y' z

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
