EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.4 v9 ?4 z" z; h D' g* U$ n, W+ q
6 G& H; g" n5 }# t$ [Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.3 _9 e! @. G& c; R

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.
