Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: 1 ~& \! {. j, E' D+ b$ F

Duties: Special Events : i8 L3 d/ E/ y# Y
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
s5 S/ X4 U& [/ `9 Z· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
8 a. A0 ^" J& G, F6 T+ d· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ) K* ^& \4 t3 C! J0 Y! S' I
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
1 y* \6 P, c4 |advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure : [" H- D9 A- Y+ s" y
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: # k( U1 k4 S o) Q$ i X
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions . `- r4 ?# {6 J% Y: u4 B
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
$ [$ b) H' {0 w! ? }· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
5 l1 f' H0 c# W6 s7 ^* J% @/ Y· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
* E& L. l+ L! F9 p· Complete program administration, statistics and records
! @4 E0 [! `# y! V1 z% _, w ( h+ S9 H) D% ?4 z
Qualifications:
! Q& Y* @- _% G& M" C7 x5 ]7 j· Completion of 12th
7 Q5 X8 T$ D0 P" \' [ Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ) E! \9 U3 a' j8 J3 P
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
; r c* i" C. N5 ^2 L· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
/ n. b1 w$ y5 ~6 m1 `8 {: f- Eexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events 0 O9 y0 t- P3 O- R! N0 j1 d" y
· Experience working with and managing volunteers " N: ~/ a$ m; z8 S
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work 0 e! u& g( ?/ c" T

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications , k' \4 s4 j. ]
