$ k+ h4 Z6 e- JBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities Include:
! O4 H: Z% S/ I3 W1 `; WActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
6 U$ q! R4 k( s3 y) a•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
7 b/ R% \/ ^7 _* D, o•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
' _9 X" }  p  s8 ^: @: W3 Z2 B5 ~0 s) L•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
3 G; N" t$ b0 o( e* ]•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
2 t' O0 @+ D; c* m1 K* h& C, u•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
& y9 m. x# E7 S. `& O7 S. d4 |, w$ y  ?•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
, u. z# L* ?- F* S•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
