/ F: H$ R1 W5 RBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

* ?8 x, q7 ^- Y/ b+ P' FKey Responsibilities Include
5 b$ }* k. K9 `! H& k2 u/ o( ?Activity Planning and Daily Activity
& f; F4 C% ?/ B1 {9 q• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
+ B0 V+ V1 P$ }4 I6 v$ j• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. / t, _0 F1 ?: d
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, * E# L9 |, i: i
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.

+ W5 L, Z/ U3 s7 s2 R3 q: \2 L+ `• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
) T3 \* l+ m5 W, g/ n• Experience with children/ c* z3 ~7 G' [: {
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth ' ?5 o) \& D: f7 J/ B! g! H7 t* T
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.2 P* M3 X( o5 g. s3 A, r
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.5 D2 V: w7 H/ a+ [* l! r, h# }3 E
• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources1 \, p }0 f5 k9 }% q; L0 W4 P1 I
• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check * L7 O$ ]! X c
• A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check + z5 @2 }7 V; |" c
