* n! e/ x$ ]. `% e; u: n' }4 \% [Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

8 |' b' n4 t+ \3 y5 OKey Responsibilities Include
* U$ ?' E$ `5 f5 t' ?) SActivity Planning and Daily Activity
% L0 e" u& {. h+ t6 D•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
; `, C& B$ A( c" {•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
7 ?& y$ ~" W, N•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
& R2 u. A1 ]. u  W•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
" Y3 W6 L3 C3 D$ S( v* d9 k. y# Y•        Experience with children
$ D  @8 X" h+ X•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
