FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the % [: j$ \: `- g% J: C( i# ]* x6 Y
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
. H! l" H/ ^% ]- O& Lsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from ' p4 w1 u* p# p9 Q$ d6 R/ R; Q: H
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
; r: h5 D) o# J. ?' Tand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a # [% R* g* ?3 O( g- ` Z
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
* S1 K& n. C3 ]5 B3 n# x7 Iscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as ) d4 [' P; a3 w0 z( j' T
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books / A. ?4 L M! {9 v3 J
- Implement a catalogue template for future use , n9 _- e } {
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure / d& c2 f8 I2 ?: D2 b! R6 S
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 1 f! ~( q8 x% Q

secondary training, university preferred

- Strong organizational skills
