FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

, k# m8 S2 r5 P9 `3 w4 QJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the - p6 [& @& o4 T1 U7 x9 r
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
+ O, W( V Z( u) J$ [1 Hwell as the script, magazine and book library. 9 A* s4 d7 l/ Y; E% c( o

Duties:
5 _. `# v# t% b+ J' j9 p- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library + ~: }' V3 k$ S
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
5 ], ]. z6 t* E- Implement a catalogue template for future use + M* _ U6 t! ~3 {% U" r
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
( r [ G8 v2 X \/ |: {0 T- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 6 g; z, G# j! f* J9 X( V

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program + g$ V& @3 a* g. U$ M" i# j$ O

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-6 J: u) n- d9 E/ i5 A' k
secondary training, university preferred ?4 H" v! z9 G4 X, B, o- L
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week . p5 |- V% v5 `( q
- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks ! C& y8 p4 ^: {7 Z4 l" Q

1 n0 ~& C J C4 W+ k/ E- X* a- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
7 z8 E" M4 R! F4 M- Strong organizational skills
; z/ Q; l: z I7 I3 t6 {/ A# }- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
; v+ V9 T- f# s1 U( z1 D' Z* v- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
