Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
: J2 }  F; M) N- t5 y7 s  P* qResponsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
, i  w# R) ]: i* c* }- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
+ p0 _& @6 N% p4 f- Recruit children for summer program
$ T8 q2 q, C: R! O" r; h  v% j- Provide orientation for parents
$ Q' R; k6 o% w( V- Find sponsors to enhance program
% M& H2 J4 U, n! T* I- Supervise volunteer(s)
0 H2 o; M1 n3 l( s  I- Prepare final report for funding agency

1 y; z. N% @, ~: s5 }Qualifications:
( @5 k0 A( D# }# N2 i% K
6 }+ H4 t( U- G) J2 S$ O2 E5 }- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
4 ^6 k( W+ D$ e- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
, ]/ X' c* }4 U: g- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
; z9 `% l5 {) K6 S* v- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
7 B: G+ H9 x8 q% p0 }" s3 i( g- leadership abilities
, B/ S( Y) t5 q% w) f% s$ _8 G( X- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
