Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
% f3 A" E" h' v- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
3 z. V$ N  E. f9 I, q9 g; @# k- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

( U$ n  ~& z# P( M, g- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
( j5 {: T6 H' @& l1 @- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
3 A" Z/ ~. {/ f6 t( g- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
# ~# c6 X$ x4 t- good computer skills
* }+ ?. k+ s6 @; e9 y5 }9 P- leadership abilities
( j) |0 y) ]2 |- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

& X* Z3 N  h& B8 X* F1 w" j0 o- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
