Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
5 m- r5 S0 Z% S-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

Qualifications:
- i/ A2 \4 F$ }-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
9 i& I' h; [0 u: L-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
1 @1 y5 b  g3 G. e  d, j$ U-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
& Q' u  m( p# V& W-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
! w4 M' [; |% @# @2 u-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
8 r9 V$ N: q1 z4 {/ {. m        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
