Responsibilities:
+ r! K( d8 y; Q& G9 `. q9 N2 W- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program , L ]$ \0 L$ X$ X
(ages 6 to 15) % {. @# j" x/ n, N4 X! C
- Recruit children for summer programs
. n; d1 z7 c, b1 b: T5 H- Recruit volunteers for summer programs9 ]. U3 ?9 }- I, {- K* J
- Record keeping
o, l6 {- q8 `( G. `# Q- Provide orientation for parents; a2 I6 R0 M8 U4 i1 V- \
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
! }, a; }) K8 w) n5 Z0 Y- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager# y; ^4 Q6 R! [/ z

Qualifications: E8 |' L+ b1 r' W2 G' y
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education( Q- p( j* j7 N" _# r7 }. t! i
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
b. ~7 [2 K+ n- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
6 m/ H& D* @; d8 h' T- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
% ^) U, f. M. @5 ^# p1 R- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
% A) f, Q& w8 ]% N# a9 \- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities2 o& J4 s) t: r, W* E/ V7 B. a$ \
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision* Z7 d$ R: s2 i, `* ?$ w& @9 t) S

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
