Duties

! o, M" J$ F  `% C# M( U    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
4 u0 l* A# h+ D# i" t* T    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
7 V& c" Y+ ~& C    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

4 a. [$ \, _+ s    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
( Q" @. ^( f9 d3 h5 I    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

6 n$ h" W8 P9 Q3 P就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
  s& e! R1 g, m/ Z$ Z本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

0 H5 J8 k0 v" v6 r8 [4 m. {9 P8 Z好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
! b8 }# h. @' l7 [wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
