* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications2 {& \5 j" B, R8 c9 }4 R
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis1 T- W9 z1 V3 {' }. {
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
9 s u: N; ^& v& B/ D * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 7 L6 B3 v, L: V! J; O
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies$ Q& t* e( c/ e4 T1 r, l l
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
