Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

& K- O) L4 y4 u8 [6 c- Organize focus group(s)
! q: Y/ G& J; w4 E( A3 z6 O- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
9 ^: O+ D; z! R6 A6 W- Find sponsors to enhance program
8 _& w1 z/ }5 c/ g# s- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
9 f0 ]4 Z8 y3 ~) T7 P; x/ x% A- C& t
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
7 {( c! Y" h: n+ w- good computer skills
) d' p$ |9 b% ?4 S( U- leadership abilities
, E, q9 j: O$ f4 ?- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
