A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
& H! x$ a+ a4 m• Standard Child Care First Aid0 `, }6 z) C, C5 `9 V
• WHMIS
1 ?8 ?6 d I# B5 O6 C8 ]0 m9 Q• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
) X. u8 `1 q7 w" p• Components to improve communication skills1 v* {8 n7 x% Q( j& n, g0 C- }
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
! n/ P" z, s, H& x• Practicum Placements
" L# l9 d. ]) dEligibility Criteria1 `( ?# k3 w! o
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen: m8 m* Q3 I7 @; D' d5 z
of Canada
. G6 I0 S6 ` w, F2 Y8 ?• have a Social Insurance Number/ F J7 P/ \: |# U
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check7 \6 r0 u6 O$ O$ U6 i3 w) n) z( \
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent5 J9 K+ f0 ~3 a" ]7 J e; z1 N
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

u0 O1 [- s d) A! _, mParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
