A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.
! n; }1 L8 t' \5 ^" w5 qThis program is designed to provide participants with the skills and% n* u+ d( [9 F7 Y8 m
knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.
9 \9 \4 A p7 t" m& Q2 GThe program includes the following elements:

• Standard Child Care First Aid4 N$ \6 g0 o/ s: z: X
• WHMIS
) e% \# E- D) K+ z, \• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
$ L* h6 H, |$ i4 O• Components to improve communication skills
) J/ ^" B3 h U' z3 P' P• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
) O! t4 X( }" f! W5 u• Practicum Placements
* N/ Z1 F, e3 |Eligibility Criteria+ z1 s ]+ W4 [" [' [( b$ R" R
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen+ M6 w! i$ t4 D# A8 E/ L
of Canada
- f9 O# K# Y' Z0 K2 F• have a Social Insurance Number1 z* s: L+ \- f' W
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
' \3 _3 @( ~" L& ~) P/ w• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent6 y3 t0 V i2 p& w# O
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time0 G+ r' O2 I, l3 J0 [( ^
program

the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
! I; h2 h2 f$ S• be unemployed or underemployed.
