A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions., i C: x T+ |
The program includes the following elements:! ]- C& p. t6 L7 C
• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1): M. k l3 F( g/ I# o w g
• Standard Child Care First Aid$ ]8 p$ K% A6 ^( w" w( Y: K
• WHMIS
5 \' z4 H* o/ g• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care% [2 J5 t$ [4 t: x9 n' ~& O: k
• Components to improve communication skills7 \: C- O& V% T: z8 [& p. d% O
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

Eligibility Criteria
2 q& J g9 {. [* u- M; J: i( f. ^0 N• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen5 t& s( `' s4 _! e) H0 Q
of Canada# r ~9 O4 e; q
• have a Social Insurance Number
& U3 ?! ]: _' m- I: D) m( b• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check8 E1 Q8 b+ Y' K3 g1 e3 U3 U6 C
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
! b9 A$ S0 G1 O" x0 D• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time+ H) O* j0 m7 g- F! X1 ]

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
/ v% B4 x* s/ L, d ?6 [/ x( ^9 fthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
