Responsibilities:      Processing and cryopreservation of Cord Blood Stem Cells

                     General laboratory maintenance

                     Adherence to laboratory safety standards
                     Quality assurance procedures to maintain general good

                     Certificate of competence in Laboratory Technology from a recognized Canadian Institution
7 A0 j4 [$ k- O3 b4 }4 `9 K3 g0 f9 d                       or a foreign equivalent Prior experience in a medical or scientific laboratory setting
4 X; h4 g2 V+ S. }- S                       an asset Weekend duty on a rotational basis
Availability   :       Immediate; probational specialized training period of 6 weeks
Salary              :       Commensurate with qualifications and prior experience


Position           :   Laboratory Assistant Part-Time (6hrs. /day)

Responsibilities:      Preparation of Cord Blood Collection Kits
                     Pick-up and documentation of collected cord blood units

                       Maintenance of laboratory equipment
                     Maintenance of liquid nitrogen freezers

Requirements:     Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada
                     Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
                     Good command of written and spoken English
9 x$ g$ t, f8 b/ s) [  M; U                     Computer literate
                     Prior experience in a medical or scientific laboratory an asset
6 t1 i+ \$ P  P+ y                     Available for limited weekend duty
Availability   :       Immediate; 6 weeks of specialized training
