一男性遇刺身亡

在大约山地时间凌晨2:45左右，警察发现一辆车正在靠近Whyte Avenue的Gateway Boulevard上逆向行驶。

One male passenger fled from the vehicle before police arrived, and reports indicate a small white car was seen fleeing the scene after the shots were fired.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation, but police believe the incident is not random and is likely gang-related.

; e5 w7 m; J4 K% P+ E) }9 oMeanwhile, one male is dead and another is in police custody after an altercation between two groups in an alley early Sunday morning, according to an EPS press release.

At approximately 2:45 a.m. MT, officers spotted a vehicle being driven the wrong way on Gateway Boulevard near Whyte Avenue.

! {. H6 ^( F7 u) NUpon stopping the car, the officers learned that one of the passengers, a 24-year-old male, was seriously injured.

He was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

A police investigation revealed that the three male occupants of the vehicle had been involved in a physical altercation with two other males and a female near an alley south of Whyte Avenue, between Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail, which resulted in one male being stabbed.

7 I8 f% ?/ E: P; d8 `. `( vThe three suspects were located by police immediately following the vehicle stop. A 32-year-old male is in custody and charges are pending.

Police said the individuals are not known to each other and the incident does not appear to be gang- or drug-related.
