Meanwhile, one male is dead and another is in police custody after an altercation between two groups in an alley early Sunday morning, according to an EPS press release.4 R2 |0 S' O' B# ]

At approximately 2:45 a.m. MT, officers spotted a vehicle being driven the wrong way on Gateway Boulevard near Whyte Avenue.$ K! G8 A# |% x- o

Upon stopping the car, the officers learned that one of the passengers, a 24-year-old male, was seriously injured.6 p$ Z& }4 x2 Z- C1 N0 H2 }! C! g
* h3 K4 @, y; T1 nHe was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

% e: C/ }" H, ]4 ?& g5 a; lA police investigation revealed that the three male occupants of the vehicle had been involved in a physical altercation with two other males and a female near an alley south of Whyte Avenue, between Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail, which resulted in one male being stabbed.1 b& u% V7 J& ^, _* w0 o! The three suspects were located by police immediately following the vehicle stop. A 32-year-old male is in custody and charges are pending.
