* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program, w n9 t; h* V% f4 t" o& p
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities9 r0 A( c% C- p' V; V, ~
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes& E5 [) ]! R% z( ]
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
! F, c h' i, R. J% ]& d* [, C * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders" k! x+ y: [' D3 s6 e
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements# Z4 x3 d' ]% m( v
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials3 O d8 j% ^) F: H U6 F! b
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
- n4 a, _+ I% y+ Y * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
$ H, g6 }( s9 R* b( Y' I, Y * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications1 I J- p$ R4 R3 n; {4 V9 R% d
$ s. ~2 h7 E, e* R I * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred. S1 B0 w. j1 Y* C3 ^& H
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth! T# t' n: ^: g. |" h: W7 i; H
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset$ s! J2 v7 r {5 m% O5 e
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies# h6 w% s: @/ O) g
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
. i; J1 C. t+ G9 C * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
G* d0 r! T9 ]% s * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
