$ [. d# A8 G1 E3 ]& r" w * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program( w( N& A/ [" S4 G% Y u) J2 @
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities; r9 [" t9 M) U8 n- {
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes% e" F3 {$ F1 m2 @. n) U
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat+ x* i1 N+ c) V; A* \# p p& R) R7 k1 S
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders1 r. s# _6 O( Z4 d, s0 g
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
/ a: |* ~0 m s. {9 o * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning5 `! k2 P; x! g
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials0 Y O/ k/ L3 m# w
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
# W5 H/ c- X; R% g7 h c * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
/ W" a( \2 f, c+ V * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
+ ^# g/ J* `- h# ] * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth$ d9 N( R3 G$ Q4 I( D6 u+ X- W
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
9 p, T e9 ?7 h+ A; F * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies7 ^" M: D+ Y: F" _8 K
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
# d9 Z: W& q- o; x4 n1 E( g/ J- m * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning& Z& _! W; K4 X9 l3 d& y1 \# q
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
