! R* S( s. ^+ G# Z+ D, H ? * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program3 Q$ s* X9 j( K# M% S
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities/ B( r( ?! y: \- A# ]
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
, G; ^ @" G1 n, h2 W7 D * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
% f+ y* m" g0 x: m C * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
5 w& x/ ?) G+ S+ t' Z) }2 f * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements- \9 ]% I6 i8 R! j& D6 K
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs- Q4 V! B. u* U. D8 U
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director/ G3 }( |# W+ u( g% `9 \1 Q3 q- V A
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning* _6 `9 b8 x2 J# _/ t
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials( j! |! t+ T- D
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
& v @) a2 D; P/ r! A( Z
+ Z3 Q/ W5 b: Y. Y6 t0 F * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred" N1 |* i8 N4 L# M" d" Q9 ]- S
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
5 v7 [- d3 t4 ^2 W1 [" P3 E- b * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset1 ?4 }, V7 q" ]. Q/ i, j( @0 r
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
+ O Q! S6 k+ Y8 o- u8 S" V * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills; g, X5 {& b ~0 v
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
& a) @/ h0 t, j * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)0 Q- B# d" M4 p5 a' C d6 b; G
