9 a5 Z% L* l. C* {5 z * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
* z& B# t) G7 o3 e4 c6 D0 z0 | * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
% ^+ D4 S2 T J0 H* s5 `4 ^ * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes4 s `3 j H2 x b5 k9 g
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat/ ^; ^, u# t- h. C
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
7 R) ^4 A' `* _1 F2 M9 M' P! E/ o! R0 M * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
" m; A5 k; T+ A9 {) |- p * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
% d; P+ p4 ] K8 `. d1 e; z' ` * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
9 g2 y2 K8 r& f) y0 B * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

6 V7 O: n; q2 l/ d0 r+ N * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
5 X% p2 I$ A c6 `" c9 g * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
1 {4 l; r9 G+ h& j4 N * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

% @7 U: C0 Z$ Q" l * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred( o% R' ~6 E8 ]/ `% c, A
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
2 b7 F9 D8 j7 ]+ b+ R * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset L$ Z( m' M0 b% V- {" X
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
5 N, Q+ I+ F$ E * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills' o' \$ t1 u2 o
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning: F. i1 \: o5 M
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)8 K9 B1 o7 v$ g9 h+ {" P/ |
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills9 D- L- U* A; U+ l
