I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. : P* a/ F% ]$ G9 m$ T7 r) K4 U( w+ `% B$ A. }' ^
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:3 `+ s6 ]; j9 A; Q9 |/ A6 o

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration.1 J6 l2 P+ K4 \

I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
