Interior Designer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may4 s& C. S, e9 I u9 ^

1 u( e7 R( M8 p) i- a$ D1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
6 S9 G. w3 a& c. ~4 Dfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to Z( G% v" l: n# O4 e d

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
$ u( Y1 i7 V% `1 w" D, |/ {4 @product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built6 {- O9 p( i4 ?0 ?
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
: C+ W, X! r2 a% xspecification and installation.% m* f" }5 _% V: I0 |% _5 O9 J0 Y: y
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning# K) f' B" u3 |0 O
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering6 m4 ^/ _8 n0 O7 U' l
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.7 e) ^- e8 G9 o: L& }' w ~, L
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
* a; {. g. y0 e6 tplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
9 \" x" q( ] e2 r1 L: U$ ~site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence6 a N* l M, G0 q5 g& v

6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
% Y- P; y- m+ }1 ?& Design (A&D) drawing sets.& |; i5 ?& N8 j! V" B
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
% ~" P4 U7 p7 t: g' ^& yassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes/ R3 i) `' e4 Y; _
and revisions.- m5 d' G5 H. K* i& ^
8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
9 @' T6 C: _* m$ f* y( pinspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
" W7 M7 J1 X5 `0 L j9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.0 r$ n) B: h, {8 H
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.$ H9 b) I( X8 K/ K' u
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review, b! `6 n' L' {1 y

experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
