A Poem Dedicated to the last 150 years of this planet.

1 h: @+ |) T: _7 [* ], C; @+ ]: cWhen we were called the Sick Man of Asia, we were the Yellow Peril.
: R9 l" o: }) a) y: G9 \; VWhen we are billed to be the next Superpower, we are a threat.

+ m3 T) z2 v" H/ {& x4 R% MWhen we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to our markets.
* I# a) s- y( d2 GWhen we embraced Free Trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs.

7 h) {6 I, V5 JWhen we were falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your “fair share”.
When we were putting the broken pieces together again, “Free Tibet” you scream, “it was an invasion!”

, v7 M+ `& `$ r9 O/ jSo, we tried communism, you hated us for being communists
$ a' Z4 Z4 s0 h- _$ A4 i) l8 l. GWhen we embraced capitalism, you hate us for being capitalists.

( s& ~  Y, b5 g; V0 fWhen we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet.
When we tried limiting our numbers, you said it is human rights abuse.

* H! c& W. Q, m- ]$ ?3 QWhen we were poor, you thought we were dogs.
When we loan you cash, you blame us for your debts.

; c4 `- y7 T2 @$ ?6 DWhen we build our industries, you called us polluters.
When we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming.

7 T, z: D- m5 h9 l" w6 kWhen we buy oil, you call that exploitation and genocide.
; e. ~( F) U, Y' Q$ Q, V0 y/ jWhen you fight for oil, you call that liberation and democracy.

) N$ @+ N# S& D* |6 U6 {When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you wanted rule of law for us.
6 h' w; c: b4 F+ }: O: P; iWhen we uphold law and order against violence, you call that violating human rights.

When we were silent, you said you want us to have free speech.
When we were silent no more, you say we are brainwashed racists.

( |' q, |4 `* u; G6 l9 XWhy do you hate us so much? We asked.
“No,” you answered, “We don’t hate You.”

% H; L" [6 ]; b8 yWe don’t hate you either,
$ o& n! ~+ }9 q. aBut do you understand us?

“Of course we do,” You said,
3 b& C( D: r) y“We have NBC, CNN and BBCs…”

What do you really want from us?

Because you only get so many chances,
/ T9 ^9 b. b2 n9 d. E4 j3 G1 }; `8 L4 ~Enough is enough, enough Hypocrisy for this one world.

/ F! F- k: I, z# uWe want one world, one dream, and peace on Earth.
6 Y! Q7 ]4 e: ^- k1 D- v( ~8 TThis big blue Earth is big enough for all of Us.
