Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly., ]8 r: a/ A; j# S( H
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

Job Description
5 w' O2 x, n+ Y- \5 {- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
! m$ u/ _$ b# M: c- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services# S9 P' K6 D3 J7 X+ T
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services) [" e( Y4 b) ^# D
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
1 Y. X8 N% |! J( ~) f1 }' n- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members$ g6 J1 I. @1 _/ r [- g
- update ASSIST website/ E7 K7 x x o2 z0 n& g
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
6 ~& L+ J5 M- D- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services$ W: Z1 h7 U4 l5 r) ?5 c$ T
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
5 p: t- x+ {: t- write quarterly and final reports for ISP/ N- g4 _2 \, j$ }
- hold regular meetings with ISP team* o8 `: J6 v8 ]7 W
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)! M5 z+ S5 ?# k' f( F% z

Qualifications' W" V. O! t& H2 V' j, H
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
9 P" p& t$ N* N5 w0 h; p- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
( m' p) `1 ~% [& i3 d" a2 P# q! m }- experience in community work and immigrant services: v6 h. p) D2 V! ?! I r3 P% J
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset; ]2 t3 w: z& n' j( @- w& w
