Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.2 U1 ~3 j( B9 ^7 H3 z3 B
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

- post secondary diploma
6 a6 W" x8 Y" M u- customer service and office clerical experiences

' V' g2 K4 `" u6 A' F! ^- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
1 B, T7 \* w- i+ N& V" y. h- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services( b) \- {; ]; t$ t( ]
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services6 ]# }0 l' t/ Z; V# {& C1 e
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies) O( e( t S! Y# [
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members3 d1 c5 x0 t6 Y3 I7 r2 Y0 I8 y! u
- update ASSIST website% z2 U, t) z; X( v) y n* a% ~
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre4 W5 Z$ r) k" }: A& `' [8 M
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
5 n& a; Q" w2 `5 e- assist in writing proposal for ISP( r1 B5 R4 a& v* V X
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP9 A+ A! x) h( M' R
- hold regular meetings with ISP team1 r) F5 a9 W' N8 k. g% ~
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
# k6 E2 R$ Z' X- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education & g: [6 f) u8 i) H( x% U" S4 Q8 |
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills. X0 j/ o# Y/ @
- experience in community work and immigrant services
