This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
. l, X$ O6 r7 k' u- }. I% ?becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them., v& [6 h% d- c6 ?
: w- R" L/ |/ p" kTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
% |& m3 u' q! T/ Sof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different5 [ U) Q8 g+ C- K% f
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events., F7 }7 Q, D; P9 [; ] u

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
