ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
$ {4 Y4 y# o* d: P! z" h! Z) j4 ZUniversity of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
$ a$ ~% a" _2 qtechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
4 E3 H7 N1 _2 W7 `7 C( O' ^strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

- G, ^$ [1 \5 ^- T! j7 S8 IQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
0 X. S/ l- T- v3 d: l$ Prelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
( E; T, }: K% e- t8 I6 Ffrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
3 y  J% {, @5 h6 f: mover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
5 c: C  _( k5 Y1 o: }( D: ais a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
) z# P( |' p: F1 e5 q+ {+ L% Y9 Saccurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
; _- u( N9 _6 s/ `salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
