ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
. o  c  g3 |" G5 g& ]recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
' D  _9 R5 ^8 m2 tobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
1 m& U3 W& B9 r" mrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
$ v5 f8 `2 b; j: ~- Ffrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
1 F, }2 Y" A4 q' L; x, S- Lrequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
7 ]5 M  R+ C6 v; b" I9 F6 M/ hcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
* n% P% B& X2 M8 {- ~is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
* p, s2 I; c9 Z; s8 z" Waccurate and complete research records.
