ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
7 Z5 W/ y% j$ u. vtechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
! |$ Z) b0 D0 Y# bto apply for government funding with us.

5 x+ M: y; Q. t  gQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
  z9 Z. I* h# \" v5 oobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
. |1 e6 C" O& P: v4 Wfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
* F# p: S* Y* W: r7 H, \( _required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
6 E! q2 F2 P& Icloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
6 G6 h  [9 c" _& |over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
# d( V0 B- v: }( Ais a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
& Z; c% @, |6 m( h1 |: bthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
6 G# L- F" ^8 Qaccurate and complete research records.

1 v2 d- O2 g6 c; kThis position is conditional to a successful application of external

salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
