ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
) T9 s% K' n3 F# d" z( Q( SUniversity of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
- @0 A% R3 V% w, v1 c& p$ E5 Ostrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

% k" S$ z' b) B$ CQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
/ w" H$ K+ A+ @9 Frelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
4 F3 @3 n# l+ J9 W7 T4 P0 U& P: C+ \required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
* ~# {% ?' v4 }$ w6 f% Ycloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
  K5 k: _' c! G- l8 daccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
