ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

! X$ ^3 k$ W% P+ Y& ~& |strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
) A( @4 S8 h$ Zfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
: h0 t2 o0 }; r! {7 [4 irequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
& |; K! D1 [9 C" i% Z8 |cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
* _( ?( n9 H7 [, I. N$ kover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
7 p7 Y, n" d; e% Jthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
( u' H7 v$ K. f2 J$ a/ k# Csalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
