FUNCTIONS:

As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:9 `5 E; O1 x) r: I2 w _
6 H3 v4 a1 c8 {; e& m· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues. D) @+ h+ H- p

· Research and coordination for implementation of new professional accounting and reporting requirements for municipalities.9 l/ W: v0 M6 y0 [

· Leading the development of related policy and procedures, and internal training where required.

· Administration of the financial accounting module of the financial information system.

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field., ~3 K, B0 Z, z+ z; |2 W
. H3 [2 }! `8 s· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.. ]- i) _5 u2 G' _
