Staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
+ C% Z3 o! @' B. ?2 G• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• meet with staff on regular basis

Programs/Services

7 l' I+ N& U+ d( z3 {• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
( `. F& q; X2 |• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders2 }5 Z/ }( Q- F E' ^$ J! z
• set program priorities and directions
6 y* |) M' l4 k+ l• identify community and user needs and trends
# z8 m- N# B; P' E0 C* k• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities! k( `3 R' N: X) J5 t
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders5 |: W$ w S9 o4 I# h
• communicate the value of the organization to the public
" @# J! z J8 ~" m/ z• identify community needs and trends
9 q3 x8 I: ]& b' A' |) ~. h• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups. A5 W* Y9 y7 q$ ~1 l! v
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups! i' [+ c* ^5 h( Z/ r0 G3 j
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems. \6 F8 g s( ^7 T* \
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff& o! p0 R4 M5 O' c/ y$ [. X- R
$ K3 r1 @ P; C. O* E: u$ y% v" BQualifications
, B" @/ B& i# E, R" K2 i2 S% v- University degree in a related field; & k, Z. _4 S' J- [9 G
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
3 N+ ?* }& e$ f) b: ~$ B* L- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; ( I* d. B! R4 P# V! [) u. ~" O
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization % j# ^9 V! V' y( `; ~# J# P9 _0 x
& S9 r0 x$ R' Q2 h6 D

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits $ ]7 T8 Y7 v2 s% X7 g
