•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
) @+ s: f) @6 B3 e" ~4 v% L•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
- p% ^  ~$ F) s8 n$ o9 `•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board$ i; Y: d9 b7 F( s2 z( D
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation& \( y+ ^: M1 b6 B9 |

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
7 j' P; S: a2 R( i; f•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
# i% ], q; j( c0 l+ I5 V•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
  ^* S( n. L* _7 u•        meet with staff on regular basis

Programs/Services- t; Q" [4 Y% @
•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
. |: M- U) f# Y1 @. q0 A' I•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
& M# q! T6 ?" ?7 p- {•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
/ P  n& |& j, y; n' X+ R•        set program priorities and directions
* ]. Z  D6 w6 F# e•        identify community and user needs and trends
+ I6 Z8 l' b; {9 i5 g( \•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends" y5 H3 h$ G: i4 g
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research$ A0 D- p# R1 Z
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting1 W5 z( u2 x! U  l
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
% A2 L# u" j4 P( X9 Q•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development+ C* }- u( ]  }0 [! Y
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

External Relations
- \: D2 p+ p0 U( }, |1 o. [•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
" X. ]# F! n* _' s+ N•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders5 P0 N: \( \# W& f$ ?' d* s- ?  x
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public& ], Z. }6 B- k" T% m
•        identify community needs and trends
/ l1 {8 y) V' N( i( K3 y•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups) U4 p1 ~6 Z, L0 D6 C
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups: |" S( \* W" ]& r
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
4 i0 i4 \5 O; H4 [! a•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

- c# b1 V  E& ~/ _7 k/ o2 L# y- }Qualifications
+ F5 \: ^$ M/ o; H2 V-        University degree in a related field;
7 ~$ \1 {* m  u-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
' R- t. O6 @) W0 t- G-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; ( {& }, G  a0 M* F  f6 o
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization . T# ~* z; ^5 j, h0 D0 Y3 y

( p% ~! J" o' o# mSalary
9 E$ B8 Y' H6 [7 g-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
( U6 ]3 R1 R, O6 n! d. x# O# u$ i+ T6 O# o  n
