• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• meet with staff on regular basis

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
# |6 T+ U) K- x& E2 S2 O8 \, Y8 A• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends; G6 Z6 Z2 p/ W* r* L: W
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends$ `% G5 S3 k& W( G+ p# R0 d" b

• maintenance of appropriate reporting) T' k7 e+ N8 z
• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

; z, [7 w2 p/ m• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

) G' E9 B/ d3 h• identify community needs and trends
4 u9 @7 o3 C$ `8 G0 `. X• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
6 I% G- n. O, @8 J• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
6 }$ g5 O# p a- ~2 o% Q• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field;
7 o; q7 m$ q! X1 W' x# i* |, z4 P- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;' d+ T3 ^# i3 [" ?1 D7 b* ~
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
4 E' w4 g% }; {8 ^3 W- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 1 m; [- ^& t% l3 ~ `$ k6 `; k
; e# f& ] X$ O" S2 U) \
Salary
: l _$ f0 _, k4 v/ B- g# D; b- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 9 ~# H" I: f H$ g
