Staff

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders* ~4 h0 I( q( E: J
• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities4 K5 B" |9 X/ Q9 B2 u
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders: X% ~# B; ^/ j" q) u
• communicate the value of the organization to the public! Y- V( U# S* s' B5 D3 `
• identify community needs and trends$ p" ]9 ^, `) u2 v1 r) f. T
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups! `6 n/ U0 p) ^( }" s. |; m, g
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups2 D" L- ]" \$ t$ X6 |) ]$ M- M
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

Qualifications1 e( R e; ?9 _5 n9 U
- University degree in a related field;
2 [! s3 {; B" `- Y Y/ T/ n- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
& _4 G4 h; g: |; m0 K- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; ' c' j! h ]. F/ F
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary
; m. ?+ x2 _( ] R- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 3 B; ^) G2 {9 T& ^% _2 s! x0 }
