- submit information for community news
$ M2 W$ \! ]5 a/ k- provide volunteers to update membership database
% X$ d3 o4 U* L7 `- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
. l5 W7 s D. m! ?) a7 J- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
% r# X/ R% a N) h- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties' T& q& T2 q: q5 X* e0 ^
- provide volunteers for various programs
6 ~+ v# g! o3 V1 L& E& ?# B- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual2 r8 C" K- G- R9 n' g6 x5 \, F" ?2 U; C
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation g9 t2 S0 Q3 }& P: T
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities6 V0 d/ [# l) Y5 i* P
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
: y" l; U; x: }. a- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
# P, {; U$ I9 O4 _% H' S8 m- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
0 ]# s5 w: e6 L# n% q( f9 A3 {- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed) P! L2 H& x% t6 q) w
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
; z# r* r' n+ i) {6 s. S- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
$ ?, |& N1 @8 p% t2 }- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
+ W" {" T9 \( V4 I8 X2 u- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 9 h0 r( P& u: D+ @1 E4 D4 x3 U/ N
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
" Y- o8 M- J( w* O; e! J4 @+ P( ~, E0 X- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 0 C! h: R+ k( z% `4 c- T
- evaluations

Qualifications
* \. Y$ A7 I( Q# G5 N- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
2 ~ l3 y. Y9 @/ R0 T' ?- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
. [2 ?3 v7 V+ o% s$ V# j# W- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
3 g; @- M8 w: p- leadership skills
8 T8 R7 B" q ~! Z7 a' p- management and supervision skills
' x: t; Q1 |! P% ^9 w7 k0 |- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
