Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

5 {9 X( r- }4 r. m5 iMy mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

% c7 ?- }, ~  V$ E6 S# E7 d1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

" u9 P9 G5 s+ G$ d8 H, u2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
