About background check

4 }' C' @* j9 y% e6 jI sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

"We have requested background information from other government
" J: R3 L: D' B  \" y& R* Zoffices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
2 {" u% I- I( N% ^of your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
1 S% Q& ~3 t6 }& x5 }: {the status of your application before this information is received."
  \/ F; R  c. K+ g0 d& b
* a1 P* B3 O0 {1 Y0 ?8 X7 Z! BDoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

本人也不幸在被调查中...

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
