According to the RCMP, the 26-year-old woman from Strathmore, Alta., faces 12 charges including fraud, theft and false pretences.

# J% Z, s6 \: X5 B3 m+ tThe RCMP began investigating following a complaint that money was missing from the town of Kyle.

It was learned that about $18,000 was missing, the RCMP said.

Police said they won't release her name until she makes her first court appearance.

Kyle, a town of about 500 people, is close to the Alberta border, about 320 kilometres west of Regina.
